I haven't been on here in quite some time. I am just so frustrated with my weight. I am in school fulltime now and it involves sitting all day, coming home to sit all evening. I need to do something to lose weight. Hubby lost his job and well, that situation--I won't even go there. I'll just say we can't afford to be healthy now. On a good note, we can't have to buy fattening things, but do portion control--LOL. I think I am going to give this a try again. This is the only one that seems to work for me :)

Exercise makes me feel better but watching what I eat is how I lose weight...it doesn't have to cost a lot to eat healthy, no matter WHAT your WOE is. I like to think "I can't afford to NOT be healthy"!

Thanks everyone. I think exercise is a big thing with me, but definitely what I eat, of course. Just very frustrated lately and I'm ready to give this another whirl. I'm not a quitter. I keep getting up and trying :)

Jillzee - When I was younger I was in your situation once and I know that it is frustrating. I thought that it was too expensive to eat healthy until I realized that when I thought that way, I was buying fattening things that I shouldn't. Like cookies and potato chips. Of course, many healthy things tend to be pricey. I am stuck always buying groceries at the same store, but I know that if I put my mind to it, I could find a store or farmer's market where things would be cheaper. I hope you have something like that near you. Of course I'm sure you are also going through some emotional issues with the job loss. I hope that this rough patch is short and that you will be able to keep losing, or at least get back on track after the stresses and job situation are better. God bless you and your family.

Thanks so much. It's a bittersweet year. I've been given the opportunity of a lifetime to go to school for a year and I am absolutely loving it. There's pros and cons to everything and the one con is that I don't have time to exercise--I sit from early morning to late night going to school and studying. The pro to the hubby being out of work is that he is able to take 100% care of my daughter and I. The cons....more financial. I think the answer would be a nice part time job for him. That would help with a lot of my "stressful' eating. Prior to this, he was making me very healthy lunches and I had the desire to walk inside of the building before work and during lunch. Just hoping he gets a job.
