koffeebean7's Journal, 23 January 2012

Been up since 9 this morning...ugh. Was hoping to sleep longer since I have to work tonight. But apparently the cat had a different idea and insisted on eating. So I've been watching Netflix on the computer in bed hoping to fall back to sleep with absolutely no luck. And now I'm hungry.

That said, I'm starting BBL today and I'm stoked! This will definitely speed up the fat loss and increase my cardiovascular endurance. I've lost a total of 8.5 inches and 13 lbs since I started my new lifestyle on January 6th. I haven't looked back and I couldn't be happier. Yes, I do occasionally want to eat a whole pizza, but honestly my cravings for battered and fried food has diminished significantly. I never was a sweets, dessert, chocolate, or ice cream lover....at all. But I do love salty, greasy, deep fired, cheesy goodness in all forms! Fortunately, I don't love those foods as much anymore. I just don't feel excited about them like I used to.

The first several days were the hardest. Food is my drug, so it was like going through withdrawal a little. Which is why I can't have indulgence days, I will instantaneously start craving everything I gave up (and then I will eat it).

I don't feel deprived and I still eat foods I love with some modifications. I know this lifestyle, which I lived before, is what my body needs to stay healthy. I owe it to myself and my hard working body to give it the tools and resources it needs to keep working for me.

Sounds like you are on a positive roll down the weight loss hill!! What is BBL? I find when I've been eating "well" for a period of time my cravings for the not so good for me foods does fade ... at least until I reintroduce them to my body!! LOL!! Have a wonderful day. We all do what works best for us on this journey. No plan is for everyone in my opinion.

I hope you have a great day too!! Brazil Butt Lift....need to lift the booty a bit lol! It's low impact with not a lot of dance moves; perfect for me due to my gift of two left feet. And you are absolutely right...no one plan is for every one person. Weight loss is a very personal, intimate, and sometimes very emotional journey. Weight loss isn't always just about losing weight. It's about shedding emotional "baggage", purging toxic relationships from your life, burying all the self abusing negative thoughts you have, and addressing other behaviors that jeopardize you well being (emotionally, mentally, physically, and even financially). But wherever we are and whatever part of this journey we are on, it is comforting to now that we all have each other here.

What a great journal- strange how food can be a very personal addiction. So the BBL gives you a whole cardio workout? I'm horribly uncoordinated and always looking for good workout ideas. Hope it was a fun day!
