I found the only way to lose weight was to up my exercise to 2 hours a day. I walk/ jog 7 kms now. On 2 I didn't lose anything. Never go over 700 calories. My aim is 1kg a week. Got 7 to go.

oh my, you should never do under 1200 calories a day, your body will not let you lose weight safely that way and it will come back faster later.

700 calories and you also work out... nice... this is such a stupid thing to do... I understand 900-1200 calories, it is fine, but 700 is too low calories........................................ at least I hope you are over 60-65 yo....

When you don't consume enough calories, you do lose weight, just not fat: you lose muscles. The only way to avoid that is eating healthy (NOT under-eating) and exercising.

And tempt yourself with all the beauty that the (Dutch) Western food industry provides. This plate of food does not look very appealing to me.

I decorate it with fresh herbs, onion, crushed garlic and (lacto-free) cottage cheese, yogurt and a tip biological halvanaise for flavor. Radishes, peppers and tomatoes give it healthy color.

Hi amy, look online and look ip Ketosis and the diabetic version. The tradeoff is lower carbs higher fat to satisfy hunger but keep the fats healthy fats and keep the proteins steady! Let your doctor know what you are doing! But the fats and proteins keep your blood sugars steady, carbs are what take it up and down. As you lose weight though, the dosages HAVE to be dropped or they will force you to eat more! Which is why you need to be dialed in with your doctor.

My nutritionist at my doctors office says I should eat 45 grams of carbs at each meal and 1300 calories. It is working for me so far. Your plate looks yummy!

Agree with Smprowett information. I'm Type II. I try to keep my carbs below 20. I had to keep adjusting my meds as I lost weight. When I started I was taking insulin, Victosa, januvia and glipizide. Currently I am off the oral meds completely and my insulin is cut down from 68 units a day to 27 units. I'm also off cholesterol meds. My A1c is 5.3. Before I started it was at 9.7. I did this all while seeing my Doctor regularly. If I eat 45 grams of carbs at meals as the nutritionist and diabetes educators recommend, I constantly crave and need more carbs. It wasn't until I cut net carbs < 20 that I could get a handle on my situation. Your situation might be different from mine, but I don't have any self control when it comes to carbs. Sometimes the nausea and shakiness can be your blood sugar crashing or spiking. You have to really pay attention to your body.

I have tried to stick with fat secrets carb protein fat content, after 3 weeks on there diet,I had an issue with bad shakes and passed out, my wife is hypoglycemic, she had test strips and took my sugar level,I was at 39,I have to eat more protein and a little more fat with low carbs.it has worked since.just keep an eye on levels, until you figure out what works for you,in 2 months I have dropped 6 sizes in pants, but my waist is staying same, and I've gained four lbs in the 2 months,I don't notice muscle growth, don't know the lbs are coming from.my calorie count is at least 700 cal less than what I'm calling for.I didn't have issue's with sugar levels before and I'm not dietbetic according to my doctor.
