I love Costco. Love it alot. I went shopping last night and got enough good stuff to fill a whole cupboard with canned foods, got a 5lb bag of shredded cheddar, a huge pack of pork chops, 4 pack of baaaaacon, mushrooms, tomato sauce, spices... it was a huge list. I also got a ton of freezer bags and regular sandwich baggies so I could portion out everything and freeze it without using an ice hammer when I want something for dinner :) I had to spank DDs hand to keep her from snaking a bag of frozen broccoli! What a mean mommmy I am.

Then I went through every possible niche in my house for naughty things and cleared out 5 grocery bag fulls which I gave away to a friend last night. (Seeing the rice taunting me just couldn't go on - out with you!) So the only things in the house I can't have are a few cereals and some oatmeal for DDs breakfast and they are out of my line of sight. Yay me! Since I do all our cooking everybody else is getting on my wagon or they can eat my dust. Litterally haha.

It was a lot of work and took me about 2 hours but I got such a wind I ended up getting 3 loads of laundry done afterwards before completely passing out. I don't think I even moved all night. I'm still feeling the head cold today but I think that yesterday was the turning point thank God.

Today marks definitely 20lbs and its time to start going through my clothes. I really should have been wearing a size bigger than I was before and now the clothes I was wearing fit loosely, so I think I'm actually down almost 2 sizes. Time for the big big stuff to go so I can streamline my closet. I'd like to get rid of my dresser completely so I bought a wire rack that I fit to my closet. I did the same with DDs clothes at the beginning of summer with a hanging closet sweater storage thingie so its possible. Since we share a bedroom getting rid of my dresser will make a huge impact on space.

I kinda feel like I'm heading into deep spring cleaning already - watch out dust bunnies!

FIVE grocery bags?? DAAANG! We don't have that much food in the house... thankfully! And all the candy that's in the house is stuff the girls like but I don't-cheapy chocolates and lollys and such. They each have their own ziploc for their halloween, Christmas, etc, candy that they may get. Good luck and if you'd like to scare away MY dustbunnies, I wouldn't stop ya! ;op

Yeah, I usually buy bulk so the 5lb box of rice, the 8 cans of refried beans, the six cans of beef noodle soup... you get the picture. I'd hit up costco at the end of summer so we'd made a dent but there was a lot left. I forgot about the kids candy! Its still up on the fridge where its been since halloween. She didn't get any candy for Christmas (go santa! lol) so its just hung out up there. LALALA what candy? Shoot. Gotta get that outta here too - without her noticing. Hmmm...

LOL Sounds like you were on a serious mission. Congrats, on getting so much done. With the help of my sister, I managed to clear out a bunch of stuff, from the basement, that was blocking a pathway which would enable me to have someone come in here to get rid of a 55 year old refrigerator, which still works, but eats up a ton of energy; I'll be getting $25 for recycling it. In recent weeks, I cleared out a bunch of carb bombs from my cupboards as well; but there's still a lot of stuff that needs to go; mainly stuff that my dad had stocked up on going back to the 1980s. :-(
