koffeebean7's Journal, 17 January 2012

Disappointed that my weight increased 0.4 lbs. However, I'm not surprised because I'm feeling a little bloated and "backed up". My last night of work is tonight then I'm off for 5 glorious days!! And I'm sure that within a couple days, my weight will go back down and I will be feeling better.

I don't feel like doing ANYTHING today before work tonight. I am super sore from doing yoga the past two days and lifting/turning heavy patients at work. I am not going to beat myself up for not exercising today. Last night, I literally sat down for only a total of 2 hours out of a 12 hour shift. I spent a lot of time walking, bending, and moving around.

Tomorrow, after a nap, I promise my body that I will exercise.

Other than that, I feel great!! The night shift hungers have subsided and my schedule of eating at certain times is helping ensure I stay on track and not fall prey to the 3 am munchies.

One more night...I can do anything for 12 hours.

Couple things to remember working out and sore muscles result in increased water weight, and minor food changes affect the scale. I'm a scale freak but I have learned if you can tolerate it measurements are better.

Glad you're almost done with the long shifts, at least for a few days. Enjoy your mini-vacation!
