Happy Tuesday, my Best Buddies:

I am excited to see I am back on track for one full week with lowered calories and targeted macros (averaged 67% fat, 25% protein and 8% carbs) - down 3 pounds on the Idiot Boxes. I am on my way to the gym for a workout and then will be off to a long day at work.

May I ask about the folks who just post daily photos of their food? It is a trend recently - do they log their food? Is it hard to come here and see food photos for those of us who are fasting? Not everything people post is always healthy - I see processed foods, too.

Just sayin' - no harm meant, just curious!

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle - Tom Venuto

Short Range Goals:
* Macros 60%-70% fat, 20-30% protein, 10% carbs - better under 10%!
* Back in the "Blue" on Idiot Boxes while retaining muscle - June?
* Schedule a bodyfat % reading with trainer for May?
* Drink at least 12 - 16 cups of fresh water daily - especially on gym days
* Continue HIIT mixed in with weight lifting four to five days a week
* Keep up the training notebook to achieve progressive overload

Long Range Goals: 2017
*Bodyfat at 20% (Current 24.5%) by year end 2017
*Maintain Idiot Boxes around 152-158lbs staying under goal weight
*Increased strength, endurance and flexibility during workouts

Your doing great I know that makes you happy and for some reason when we're happy we're more movated. Keep up the good work. I was wondering about the food photos too.

hey HCB, congrats on your progress. I am guilty of posting food pics and some not healthy processed foods ... i didnt realize it was a faux pas. Please dont take offense but are there any other things we "newbies" should be aware of? I dont want to offend anyone. Thanks !

Awesome progress, buddy! I think some people think that using the mobile app and taking pictures of their food will automatically log it. I read that some time ago. Since I don't use the mobile app, I don't know and didn't investigate.

The huge number of food pics displaying today IS weird. Some of them are from more than a month ago, so someone must be going through and "support"ing them so they cycle into the feed again. It's hard to find any new journal posts without scrolling and scrolling. Many of these meals look lovely but I don't need to see them 15 times. I can't say a person shouldn't post these food pics, but perhaps not so often as some do.

Congrats on the 3 pound loss! I have noticed the increase in food pictures too. It brings to light the fact that a picture is worth a thousand words. People who post many pictures open themselves to scrutiny. Some pictures are good examples of healthy meals and recipes. Some pictures are prime examples of what not to eat. I can't help but to notice that the people who post the most offending pictures, are the most sensitive to criticism and have been slow in getting results...

@ John10251 is there a way to prevent others from seeing my pictures? id like to continue to use the site and post pics, but dont want to inconvenience anyone else...i checked the settings and didnt see an option. Am I missing something? @ HCB sorry to hijack your post with this.

The site seems to be stuck for the last couple of days, I've been on and off sporadically but the same pics have been showing up on the front page. That's not a criticism of whoever posted them, seems to be a functionality issue on the server side.

I have noticed what Phil pointed out, that the same pics seem to be lingering at the top of the feed. Normally, I am not bothered by food pictures, but that seemed to be all I saw yesterday when I was trying to get my mind off the food I wasn't eating. :)

When I clicked off of the "featured" category and onto 'my groups' or 'by buddies' it lost the pix.

I've noticed post after post of people's food. Just recently too. I would personall rather read people's thoughts, struggles and accomplishments than see that.
