Another terrible night with my Fitbit recording only 4 hour sleep between 9:30pm to 6am. Once again I got some good reading done. I did manage my first bowel movement since the surgery but not a great deal. My urine flow is extremely slow and erratic, even for me.
This morning I am really quite woozy but that could just be the lack of sleep, compounded by Tramadol.
Pain is not too bad, with the medication, and I am getting around the house fairly well. Just spotted another three wounds (hadn’t even spotted the tiny plasters), where I was given 3 shots of local anaesthetic, prior to being moved to recovery. Appetite disappeared after lunch yesterday, and still hasn’t returned.

Sounds like I've been getting your sleep! Good to hear you're getting around the house OK but not so good about your appetite. Is there nothing you really fancy you can get Mrs T to pick up locally? Piece of fish? Small steak? All the best for your recovery!

Jocko, a bit of walking around is good, but rest is just as important. Keep drinking water. Hope the bodily functions get better ... I imagine you have some swelling. Soups might be a good source of food while you are mending. (((Big Hugs!)))

Mrs J had homemade soup and fresh baked baguette for me today. I would normally bite your arm off for that, but I just couldn't face it. Had a shower and got my dressings changed. The wounds are clean and dry. Swelling is bigger than the original hernia. The surgeon said the cavity could fill up with fluid and mat take several months to be absorbed by my body. Thanks, buddies, for your good wishes.
