I quit smoking going in my third week. day 4 without nicoderm patch. I find its been really stressful with stopping smoking and watching my weight, but Im gonna make it!

Good for you! I quit 20 years ago, and am so glad I did!!!

Wow, that is a tough one! Quitting smoking was probably one of the hardest things I have done.... I quit with Jolly Ranchers and Lollypops--- whenever I needed a cigarette I popped a hard candy in my mouth. Did not gain weight, but I did wind-up with about 8 cavities!! At any rate, good for you! Best of luck. I think one of the things I kept telling myself, which helped me quit, was that I did not want to go through quitting again! Quit once, power through the cravings, and move on. I think the thing that surprised me about quitting, was how powerful the mental addiction was. About 1 year after quitting, I would get an intense craving for a cigarette--- you know at that point it is not about nicotine!! But, that craving was very rare, and would only last about 15 seconds (totally manageable).

Stopping smoking will be the most liberating thing you do! Nothing like not worrying that you are down to your last cigarette and have to get dressed to go out and get a pack! Congrats, the weight will come down when you have had enough of that too!
