Jintygirl's Journal, 06 February 2017

Another poor week where I've somehow managed to scrape a loss together...

I'm engaged again (to be married... lol), and one would have thought that the threat of walking down the aisle later this year would have galvanised me into action... yet I just panicked and drank like a fish. And had to exercise damage-limitation, rather than sticking to my diet...

Something FFBB wrote earlier in the week got me thinking - the last time I lost masses of weight, I wasn't drinking at all for the first four months and then only at the weekends for the rest of the time. In the meantime (eleven years), have I become alcohol-dependent? I've stopped when taking a course of antibiotics for the odd week here and there (the good that that does...) but the thought of NOT having my wine this evening makes me panic. Perhaps I should just stop.

I don't want to get married fat. I'm going to give it a go. Let's see if I last until 5 past 6 this evening... lol... xx
220.0 lb Lost so far: 19.0 lb.    Still to go: 90.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Oh Jinty slow down a bit. Why don't you try cutting back on the wine first if it worries you stopping altogether. Then alternate nights and so on. I still have Chocolate (dark) but in moderation and i was a chocoholic. I am sure you can do it! You must be looking forward to getting married and looking great in your dress x

Congratulations on the loss......and the engagement! I am trying again with booze as like you, it has become almost a ritual and definitely a habit I need to break.

Caitlin Moran`s column in The Times on Saturday is all about "wine o`clock"

Lol... I love Caitlin Moran, but refuse to buy The Times, FFBB... Thanks B, I think you're right. In fact I discussed it with my beloved and we both agreed it would be positively dangerous to just stop just like that - I'd likely have a seizure, the amount I've been putting away recently... so yes, I did end up having wine tonight, but in a far more controlled way. And now I'm having a cup of coffee after dinner. I need to stop getting so down on myself! I'm still losing weight! And yes, I do want to look fab in my dress... :) Thanks for the congrats and support... xx
