Yeah Me! I reached my first of many 10,000 steps/day yesterday!!! At least that I know of. My new little gizmo gave me a badge even! I love positive reinforcements!

Busy day on tap, as I need to finish my outline for the support group starting at church tomorrow night! (but that won't take too much time.. I am almost done.)

Then on to typical housework, laundry, groceries, and the gym... life is never dull around here! (well, at least there is always something to do!)

Food related items all going well. Exercise (thanks to the Fitbit) is in everyday form! It will be interesting to see, if the 'expected' weightloss comes from the increased focus on keeping moving and the added steps or workouts... or if a few weeks from now all things just stay the same.

I have always thought I was a very active person... but I will say, I had to make myself keep moving and keep walking to get in 10,000+ steps. It was a focused effort. Without it, I would have ended my day somewhere around 6-7,000 and I THOUGHT I was being active at that level. ??? So not sure if it will impact the weight 'loss' or not... but this is the best fun in an experiment I have had in years!! LOL!

Have a great day... Much Love.

I tried the 10000 step challenge before. I was surprised how much I had to do to reach it. It literally took me taking walks in the evening to get them all in. Way to stick with it.

Paula, I remember when I first got my Fitbit, I was amazed at how much "sedentary" time I have each day, as it doesn't feel like I have any down time...lol Getting that 10,000 steps in is harder than it seems, isn't it. Great job yesterday. Sunday is historically my lowest step day, since we don't do chores etc. Although I usually get in between 4-5,000 steps from the time I get up until we get home from church, so that's a good thing! Have a great day, and enjoy that Fitbit!!!

OOOOOOOOOH! I WANT mine!!! The mail hasn't come yet today. I don't really expect it until tomorrow, but you never know. Congrats on the badge. I'm so sedentary that I KNOW I'm sedentary. Isn't that sad? I'm sure it will take awhile for me to build up to that 10,000 steps. I plan to work on it though, so I can join all of you "Super Women!!!"

Well, it's 4:30pm here, and I am not even to 5,000 yet today, so not sure it'll be a 10,000 step day today! But I am headed off to the gym, so I will at least give it a try! All I can say...is if you can afford one of these gizmos... tons of fun! And it really does motivate you to see the thing work ;)

You're both rockstars. Paula, Bren's right, you will rack them up at the gym. And Bren, 8270 is nothing to shake a stick at. (Hope that's the right expression. I get them all backwards.)

10,000 steps IS hard to get in EVERY day.... I was surprised ( I haven't got a fitbit, but used to wear a pedometer, that was part of the walk with me game, for the DS light). Some days I would only do 5,000-7,000, Keep it up Paula.... glad you are finding it so motivating :-)
