Ah it's Sunday. I'm up 4 lbs since yesterday. Another fluctuation that is obviously from dining out last night. I ate my usual breakfast, fasted through lunch (I've been doing that the past few Saturdays as I'm too busy working and don't want to speed eat and then try to digest food while massaging people), and then we were going to the movies so we decided to eat at the Thai place next door. I ordered my usual eggplant w/tofu and some Larb w/tofu. I hadn't had the Larb at this place and was quite surprised that it was served hot. The tofu had been fried. It was way too much grease. Admittedly it was tasty but I've been cutting out added oils and salt the past 10 days so it was a noticeable difference. Then at the movies we had popcorn. It's one of those foods that I have been allowing myself to have when we go to the movies. I take my own little cup from Disneyland so I don't gorge on it but again definitely too much salt. I'm paying for it today and learning another lesson for future dining experiences and taking popcorn off the list every time I go to the movies.

I totally get the salt weight gain!

Bring your own popcorn. Dietician said your body will recoup missed calories, so maybe an ounce or two of mixed nuts instead of fasting. Four pounds seems a lot for one day, so probably retaining water due to carbs. Don't overthink, you are being mindful and you are on your way.

Hubby and I like to go to the movies too and I get a small popcorn, but not anymore, as the weight was creeping on and bloating from the salt. I now bring my own air popped popcorn and drizzle it with some ghee or raw/unrefined coconut oil, so good! I will bring a sparkling water with me too and some orange or root beer sweet leaf stevia to put in my drink. :)
