bowd65's Journal, 18 January 2017

So today I did my first early shift since returning. I was up at 05.30, showered and took out the dogs. Only a half hour, which was just enough. In work for 07.30 and it was very busy as it was the doctor's ward round.

I am starting to get back into the swing of things. But I do feel a bit tired so an early night for me I think. Two days off now and meeting up with a friend tomorrow morning and swimming in the afternoon, oh and of course dog walks.

Mishka and Buddy were so pleased to see me home this afternoon, it's such a great feeling when you walk in and they almost knock you over with their excitement and kisses.

It's good you're easing back into work slowly. I'm sure the doggies missed you so much today. Hope you have a good sleep 🙂

You don't realize how much endurance you've built up for work until you've had some down time. Since I make my own schedule, I tend to book clients close together so that I can have more days off (and, you know, to make getting dressed worth it LOL!)..meaning that the days I go to work, I work hard! Right now, I'm averaging 3-4 days of going hard at it, and 3-4 days of recuperating. How lovely you dogs are so happy to see you. My cats, on the other hand don't care if I'm tired and sore. I am their servant, and I have duties that must be attended to, "Right meow!" :P

That all sounds positive Still you've got to pace yourself during these first few days. After my operation four years ago, our Head Of School, gave me time out whenever I needed it. I thought your dogs would miss you .🐕🐕
