Mental preparation...psyching up...getting your head in the game...
It doesn't matter what you call it, but it's essential to success. ANY success.
But, that only half the story. The other half is to align with it, on a soul level. The closest I can describe is, "feeling it".
Today turned into a fast day. Not planned, really, but going with the flow. Ate dinner last night around 6, woke up not feeling hungry, so I rolled with it. Coffee, then going into work early. A few tummy rumbles getting ready for work, so I took an Atkins shake with me, and sipped on it through the morning. I had some stuff to do after work, got it done, then got home around 3. Got some more stuff done, and felt a little peckish. Not really hungry, just wanting something. I had some spinach, pre-cooked bacon and half an onion in the fridge....and a fully stocked freezer. So I grilled a chicken thigh in the convection oven, and made a wilted spinach salad. Appetite satisfied, tummy full, and diet followed 100%!
I'm back! The lack of hunger today plus the wiser choices tells me I'm back in ketosis better than any test method could, ever. And, in spite of a busy day at work, my body is tired, but not in pain. Yaaasss!
Keto is naturally anti-inflammatory. I KNOW this. The indulgences are not worth how my body responds. Will I test this again? Probably. LOL! Old habits and 'comforts' are hard to reprogram. But the proof is there, over and over again.
I go to sleep tonight, recommitted and feeling good.
