Well I've kinda been MIA over the holidays but I have been weighing myself and trying to practice mindful eating- even if it hasn't been the healthiest. Also been busy moving/ dealing with my separation. I know at some point I was close to 190 again so I'm on a downward trend again. I also weighed in the other day at 188ish at our local sports store that has an 8 week challenge. They give you $3 dollars at the store for every lb that you lose. So that will help with motivation post holidays! Now just to keep the stress eating to a min. This week will be tough as my ex is out of town for work and is staying in the city where the woman he had an affair with lives so its hard not to think about the past :-(
So glad I'm on here. Even though I've never met any of you I find it super supportive to be on here :-)
187.3 lb Lost so far: 46.7 lb.    Still to go: 17.3 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.2 lb a week

Try to keep positive, even during a stormy-cloudy day, if we're patient enough a sliver of sunlight will break through the clouds enough to inspire us. For above the clouds is a bright blue sky full of warmth and hope. Keep smiling!

I have taken some Mindful Self-Compassion workshops too and do think this helps a lot with the stress and controlling the cortisol levels. I'm trying to go in the direction of a hormone based diet now. Just a new thing. I'm also very much an emotional eater.
