So pleased to be able to say goodbye to 5 pounds. I hope that it's the first of many 😇 thank you everyone your support has really paid dividends.'
I am sticking to a low crab approach as it has worked for me in the past and it means I can eat the things I like.
I am also trying something new, I have heard that research has shown that to optimise weight loss all food should been eaten during an eight hour period, so if you have breakfast at 9 you should eat your last meal by 5, giving your body 16 hours of fasting.
I have never been keen on breakfast first thing but diligently tried eating something before getting to work at 7 even if I had to force it down.
So today I took breakfast, in the wonderful new insulated container I had for Christmas. 2 eggs scrambled, 6 cherry tomatoes and 2 thin slices of smoked salmon. Yes I know that sounds very decadent but this is a change of lifestyle and I want to enjoy and look forward to my meals and by using economy off-cuts of salmon it only costs about £1.34. I had this at 10.30 and planned to have lunch at about 1.30 however things got busy and before I knew it, it was 3.45. I was going to eat but when I thought about it I realised that I wasn't actually hungry so I had a drink of water and didn't eat until I got home and cooked dinner by 6.
So the first day has been great, I just wonder if tomorrow I will be starving all day, I hope not, just watch this space and see.
218.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 64.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Be as decadent as you can and make a point to prepare delicious healthy food for yourself. Think about all the money you save on junk food you are not going to eat any more! You deserve it

Thanks everyone, I was surprised that I haven't really felt hungry today and have found my meals filling. I find that after a lifetime of making sure that I always ate everything on my plate and not wasting anything, it is very difficult to just eat until I am satisfied and then stop. I think being brought up in an time when if you said you didn't like something on your plate or couldn't eat everything you were reminded of all the starving children in Africa and were made to sit until you cleared your plate or had the same thing put in front of you at the next meal time has drummed into me that it is very wrong not to eat everything even if you were bursting at the seams. I am finding it very hard to break the habit.
