It's been a rough start to the New Year. Our eight year-old nephew was involved in a horrific auto/pedestrian accident on New Year's Eve and had to be life-flighted to a Houston children's hospital. He was with his family when a fool decided to race his truck near an area along the beach where people were watching fireworks and rammed into a coulple of parked cars. Little Noah took the brunt of the impact after pushing his younger brother out of the way.

He's already undergone three surgeries and has several more lined up. Both his legs have been shattered and the doctors informed us yesterday that they will have to partially amputate one of his feet that they are unable to save. He faces months of recovery and extensive therapy.
