How are you all managing the holiday parties? I had water yesterday and distracted myself with socializing. I have another event today, and I really do not want to regret what I put in my mouth.

I bring a dish I can have. Also drink water so I feel fuller and less tempted to nosh. Get the booze in me (which isnt really allowed with keto) and I'm like cookie monster.. nom nom nom

Don't go hungry! Healthy snack before I go, and plenty of water and fiber in the diet.

sampling is great - I limit myself to one small spoon of each dish I want... no seconds and only 1 sample of a dessert

So here is my report. The Christmas party was lovely. Had a Hawaiian theme with plenty activities, which was really nice. I was all fortified to feel limited, and then I got the best surprise. One of the buffets had mainly raw vegetables and beautiful cut up fresh fruit. Sweets were very limited. So I enjoyed the raw veggies, and only had one strawberry because my breakfast was carb loaded. I enjoyed sociallizing had plenty to munch on, costing me only a few calories (about 90). Then I ate when I got home (before 6). Whew! I was dreading that. Thanks to all of you for helping me get through this. The plates were small, so my portions were small. Thank you again!
