bowd65's Journal, 04 December 2016

Enjoyed last night, meal was really nice. Was so full i only ate a bit of dessert. Had to guestimate everything. Was nice to catch up with work colleagues. No breakfast this morning as still full, so lunch was at 2pm for my son's birthday. Think i have stayed within my RDI today, did have a piece of baileys cheesecake though 😆
So that is it now til Christmas day! Lots of walking this week and swimming tomorrow and i am going to book into a aqua aerobics class.
Hope you all had a great weekend! 🤗

That sounds good! A splurge this weekend then nothing special until Xmas weekend should work out quite well. Think about it rationally - when you get to maintenance you'll have up days which are balanced by down days food wise. You won't be watching absolutely everything you eat and drink, just working on the balance. So when you're losing weight a splurge now and then isn't a problem as long as you balance it with double the down. It all comes down to hitting the deficit, not being miserable day in day out because you're not enjoying your food (disclaimer: I'm not recommending 6 days of fasting then 1 day of eating loads of calories!). Take care x

Glad you enjoyed your meals out. Looks like you're going to be very active this week so the calories will soon be burnt off!

Thanks Phooka and Doobrie, yes that's the plan.I am going to stick with an RDI of just under 1500 for at least another stone. But to continue to increase my exercise when i can. I think for my last stone i may need to go a bit lower RDI perhaps 1300. I will still be able to eat healthy, even at work. I really want to get to my goal weight sometime in 2017, but i am not in a rush and might try maintenance in my last stone. But for now getting through the festive period is my biggest challenge, as i do want to enjoy it! 😆

Sounds like a sensible approach to me. Walking and swimming will soon fix any damage.

All sounds good to me too! especially the Baileys cheesecake :-) 2017 is going to be a great year for all of us. I'm sure you'll reach your goal if you keep as positive as you have so far.
