Sandy701's Journal, 21 December 2011

Walked 3.5 miles this morning in shorts again....yay! Dh took the dogs, so I could go on my own on the lake route and groovin' on the tunes.

Very warm, even for here...mid-70's....but drizzle and intermittent downpours too. The thrift shop was exceptionally busy and I took in my little gifts to distribute to everyone. SO glad I had some extras as there were a few faces I recognized but they typically don't work on Wednesdays. In any event, everyone got a little gift, so no one was left out.

Our satellite provider called to ask to come out today instead of tomorrow to switch out our service for the new TV. DH got a taste of what it's like to be tied down to the house while a contractor works, as he had to stay here while I was at the thrift shop. He's just a tiny bit grumpy now since the contractor ran into some installation problems, so the whole process took a lot longer than anticipated. But, he'll get over it. :) I might have to treat him to a lunch out at a restaurant tomorrow, but that's OK.

walking is my most favorit-ist thing! Great for the weight loss and better for the headspace. Cold here in Nevada, but still sunny and walkable! Keep it goin!

Why is it our job to stay at home while the contractors are there??? If its not done right we get the business over it..LOL...Glad no one was left out or you would have felt bad..Have a great evening my friend....:O)

Sounds like you had a great walk today. Wish it was that warm here. Afternoons we get a couple hours in the 50s but the early mornings have been in the 20s and after the sun goes down it gets cold really fast.

Thanks Mike. Hard to believe, but I actually miss walking if I don't get it into my schedule somewhere.

Bren, I have no idea why I have to be there for contractors and DH doesn't. When he's working and I'm not employed outside the home, I can understand, but unfortunately that ends up carrying over even when he's got time off! Just an easy rut to fall into, I guess...LOL! Have a good Thursday.

Karen, it IS hard walking in weather as cold as you describe....so many extra layers to carry around! But at least really cold weather kills off a lot of the creepy-crawlies!

I still love the thought of walking round the lake....my next home has to be by the ocean....it just puts me at peace with the world.......I could walk by the water every day....I don't think the little stream that turns into a lake when it rains at the back of our house counts...LOL

Yvonne, I know exactly what you mean. As long as I'm by water, all seems right with the world.
