Part of the TOPS pledge is, "What you eat in private is there for all the world to see!"

Ooooh, been hearing about TOPS.. but just skimmed those words.. I just googled it.. There's a weekly meeting around here! I just missed it today. I'm gonna give it a shot. If I can keep up with FatSecret here, The Fitbit, and TOPS, maybe I can save some money from WW. I do LOVE WW, don't get me wrong.. BUT it is pretty pricey... I'm gonna give TOPS a try next week. First meeting is free. :)

I can count anywhere... but I stay with WW because I need the meetings. It's my weekly re-up, motivation refill, my reminder... Maybe TOPS can do this job...

FS is a great sight with lots of caring members. I may be repeating myself; belong to Weight Watchers in the early 1980s. Started at $7 a week. Reached my goal and wasn't paying weekly dues until I had a weight gain the price was $13 a week, so I quit. A ballroom dance friend invited me to a TOPS meeting up in Northlake, IL weekly due were $25 yearly to TOPS Inc. and $4 a week to chapter. Yearly has gone up, but the chapter I belong to charges $1.50 a week. So you can shop around you area for the cheapest chapter. I didn't mind the $4, but moved and was luck found one with lower weekly dues. Hope you find as nice a group as I did. I'm secretary of our chapter. I was Co-leader for 2 years at the Northlake chapter and Secretary for 4 years there.

You don't have to get as involved as I did, but I'm a sucker.

Oh I LOVE the first one - people lose weight and then go back to their old eating habits and wonder why they gain it back!

ohhhh HCB we have some new restaurants opening on the property... I can totally resist Cinnabon.. it is so ridiculously loaded with garbage... does not tempt me for a moment... I'm not tempted at all by ice cream either. Anytime I want it, I have a tiny bit at home. I keep in mind the 'eat like a thin person' mantra.... and remember all those times they share EVERYTHING... or cut it in half and leave the rest for someone else... so that's a new thing I've been doing.. because I really wanna try one of the new places.. but... for sure it's not gonna be a solo plate... I already have my share partner... we shared my birthday Auntie Anne's freebies... So planning on just the one time, at the grand opening, to try the new joint... and you know, everything tastes SO MUCH BETTER when I get it less often.. :P

DMZ, they're not terribly close here... Not close enough to have choices.... but I'm still gonna give it a shot next wednesday. Or... maybe consider their option of starting a group in my area.
