Sandy701's Journal, 13 December 2011

Walked 3.1 miles today via the lake route with both doggies.

Alarm company came out to fix our system and it SHOULD be fine now(crosses fingers). The thing went off at about 10:30 last night and again 4x between 5-8AM. AAARRRGGGGHHH!!!!!

So, despite losing some sleep yet again, I did walk, which I was proud that I did. I guess after reading that Paula (jsfantome) went to the gym yesterday, when she wasn't in the mood, well, it pushed me to get my own exercise done this morning.

Christmas, Christmas, Christmas is on tap for today. Lots of volunteer stuff these next few days, so I need to get my own things done.....that PLUS DH has a birthday coming up so there's a bit of planning there too.

Gotta run...will get to finally have breakfast....had my usual snacks before walking but the alarm company was due right when we got back home, so my breakfast has been delayed.

Hope everyone has a wonderful winter day.

I am not sure how well I would have handled your alarm issues, glad you kept your head...I am assuming DH has his as well? Happy Birthday to him! Stay sane as best you can, you have been a complete whirlwind lately!

Hey buddy. Sorry to hear of your alarm system disturbing your sleep. That's not good for anyones mood, especially for getting everything done for the holidays. Hope hubby has a great birthday. By the way, you are doing a fantastic job with your on going weight loss. Keep up the great work my friend. :):)

Ahh I hate those alarms....I am terrible if I have to show a house with one.....I have set them off more than once....I don't have luck with them at all....LOL. As you know I am jealous of your walks around the lake with your doggies. But we have so much rain today the little river behind our house is turning into a lake as I sit here....lucky we are on a little hill above it.......Have a lovely day....

Ah, GG, that's what I feel like....a whirlwind. And things are about to get whirling even more beginning today and going through Sunday! So what if I lose my sanity???!!! Not sure I have all that much to lose of that! LOL!!

Laurie, you're right about that alarm affecting my mood. Had to catch myself as the doggies' antics just pushed my "irritability" button yesterday. A good night's sleep is so important. Hope you're getting your rest during this season.

Bren, as nasty-sounding as that alarm is, it IS true that by the 4th time, one just grumbles and PUNCHES those numbers to clear and silence it. Don't know if that's getting used to it, but at least my heart rate wasn't quite as high by that time! Have a good one...

Yvonne, I also was a Realtor in the past....with DH being in the military and moving, I've been fortunate to try out being a lot of things over the years! Anyway, don't you just love it when they say they'll leave the alarm off, then they don't, then it goes off when you're in the house and you have to call them - or talk to the alarm company - trying to talk over the blaring horn??? Ah yes, great fun.... Glad you're on a hill if a lake is forming! Stay dry!
