FOR QUITE A WHILE NOW, I've been syncing fitbit's estimate of my calories burned. Using the sync ability of fitmess.com. But checking the difference between calories eaten, which is accurate, to the estimated calories burned, I would be losing a LOT of weight almost every single day. and I am not, and don't want to. I can only conclude that fitbit estimate of calories burned is way off, claiming much more than actual. I can't depend on electronic devices, like fitbit, scales that claim to measure body fat, and particularly fitbit for heart rate! IT'S WAY WAY OFF, reading 112 to 110 bpm recently, and actual heart rate was 61 to 59 bpm, and stayed that way when NOT on my wrist. (I've had 5 different fitbits, starting with fitbit Charge HR, they replaced it 2 times for free, then got Fitbit Surge, they replaced that once. All varied a bit but did the same type thing. I got the Surge since some online reviews rated it up to only one heartbeat off compared to medical equipment. So, some people claim it's very accurate for them, but NOT for me. Fitbit themselves warn that it's not designed to be a medical device, and not claiming it's that accurate, meant only as an estimate (or words to that effect).) It seems to me that my fitbit likes to default to 100 or so Heart rate, then VERY slowly adjust to closer to actual. When I'm sitting a while it often is very accurate, right now showing 58 bpm, checking my pulse by hand it's 55 bpm. Other news: I checked the gas mileage on my BV350 scooter, until a month or so ago it was averaging 63 mpg, but as I'm learning to use it and focusing on NOT quick acceleration, I logged a fuelly.com mileage of 75.8 mpg! on it.
