Kat86's Journal, 13 December 2011

So I know it’s only been 1 day but I did really really well yesterday. AND I didn’t have a drop of wine at all. When I got home I was really really hungry as doing slim fast to kick myself into gear. The one thing I did do was to give into my hunger – I almost get a panic on though when I am so hungry. I was getting really stressed out and angry and my fiancé had to tell me to get out of the kitchen and sit down. There was half a left over potato from our Sunday roast that I stuffed into my mouth which is ridiculous as a) it wouldn’t have filled me up b) wouldn’t have been much longer till dinner. It actually turned out that dinner did take along time as in my fluster I put the oven on low… but as I waited another 2 hours my hunger passed quite quickly and when it came to eating at 10pm (I know not good anyway) I wasn’t actually that hungry which is why my food intake for yesterday was quite low!

Also just started reading a book called “just 10lbs” and it’s a bit like a self help book and looks at what kind of eater you are, the mental attitude towards eating, re-educates you about habits e.t.c – hopefully will be good and is already quite interesting.

If you do slimfast, plan some protein filled snacks for your down times. Slimfast also has high protein shakes that keep you fuller longer. Plan a morning snack and one in the afternoon to keep you going so you don't get too hungry. A yogurt and piece of fruit is good, veggies and hummus, cheese stick and fruit, etc. Good luck!
