Look at me now! Look at me now! I'm getting lighterrrrrrr!!! lol!

Very happy with this week's damage control plan.

I lost 4.6kg in 5 days!!!

What's awesome is that I never stick to my plan 100% and I ate cheese toast, cheese cake with tennis biscuit base, ice cream and sugar cone, etc. during this week. I did have 3 gym sessions this week as well but I used lighter weights and cut my workout time by leaving out a few exercises.

I'm exactly 4kg higher than my lowest weight of 102.9kg that I had got to in August.

My goal for the rest of this year is to get to under 100kg :) I can do this!!!

235.7 lb Lost so far: 48.1 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 14.2 lb a week

Hi, this is wonderful!! Well done!! Would you mind explaining these fast days that you use. It sounds like something that can benefit all of us. You are doing a great job!!

Sure Tanyageld :) I follow the 5:2 Fast Diet which means you eat normal for 5 days and you restrict yourself to 500 calories(600 for men) on two non-consecutive days in your week. I have opted to make my week a 4:3 where I eat on 4 days and "fast" on 3 days(Mon, Wed and Fri). There's various tweaks that I have done to make it more effective. One tweak was that after a few weeks of having my fast days as 600 calories maximum, I was able to switch to fsst days that were just 21 calories because I didn't consume food on those days. I would drink green tea, water, coffee, coke zero. I also combined 16:8 Intermittent Fasting where I only eat food from midday and stop eating food at 8pm which means I had an 8 hour window to eat food and the other 16 hours becomes a temporary fast of no food. Read up on these methods on www.thefastdiet.co.uk and Google "Intermittent Fasting". Many of us here on FatSecret follow a fasting lifestyle and have had amazing results. You do make alot of mistakes, fail at times, etc. but that is all normal and you just keep at it and you still achieve results. Another tweak that I do is have a low carb day on Tuesday and keep my RDI at around 75%. There's so much flexibility for you to customize it all to suit you :)

Ok, thank you. Wow your results are amazing and I had a look at your food diary. I am going to give this 16:8 a try this week and like you do the Tuesday 75% every week. As soon as I can master that, I will do the 5:2 fasting. Thank you for all the info and links - you are such an inspiration to me (a newby)!

Tanyageld I don't always record in my food diary and mostly do it on days that I need to have some restrictions like on a Tuesday. I hardly record on weekends.I've reached a point where I can manage my food without needing to enter it. It becomes easier with time.

Siphokazimsiza yes I do exercise on my 21 calorie days. I ensure that I eat well the day before. Eating too little on a non-fast day can make your fast day harder to do. Over 2 days I sometimes get two gym sessions and 36 to 40hours of no food. Never thought I would ever do that!
