Weight still holding at 172...but that's OK, considering there was a birthday party for my Dad (89!)and more eating over the weekend since I was hosting and cooking etc. All in all , a GREAT weekend. I did, however lose another 1/2 inch off my hips! I have amped up my workouts and I FEEL GREAT!

I honestly think I have to cut my calories by 100, making my daily RDI 1400.

Everyone talks about the "MAGIC BULLET" and I believe it is EXERCISE! I have had a history of lower back problems...there is arthritis in my spine and it is pretty bad...But I have managed it for the last 15 years. In June, we redid x-rays and MRI due to pain waking me in the wee hours and making me very sick to my stomach during the day... LONG STORY SHORT...the back surgeon recommended getting strong, working my core and I cannot believe the change!!!

LADIES!!! I also had some female repair work last summer and Coddled myself before surgery, and after surgery, to the tune of A YEAR....No wonder I was becoming so WEAK!

Anyway, I have gone on enough...have a great week. Keep up the Positive attitudes and the attempts to succeed at your goals.

Hi, lulani! How was your father's party?? I thought that was so great! I hope he is doing well. I know about the back, and when they reviewed my bone scan, they pinpointed all the trouble spots including lower back. It was interesting, as I saw the scan, and could see the spots, my left knee, my right shoulder, my lower back. It was real interesting to look at. I wasn't suppose to see it either. That is good, that the exercise has helped you. Keep up the great work.

I totally agree that exercise is the key. In particular exercise that builds stamina and all round strength. Once fit, a huge number of heath issues just disappear. I also agree with you about building strength in the core muscles. I spent the summer building my core (chest, abs and back) and it has significantly helped my general fitness.
