TXSnowman's Journal, 07 September 2016

Yesterday was an eating day and oh boy did I...LOL. Had a great spinach salad with smoked turkey and brisket in the afternoon. Then I got home and the power was out. No TV, no computer, my phone and I-Pad were dead. So, I grilled burgers and munched on bean chips and low-carb tortillas with butter, PB2 and sugar-free jam. Finished the day at an astonishing 5,800+ calories. Having said that, I'm still only at a daily average intake of 1,854 for September, with an average of 2,769 daily calories burned. So, I'm really liking IF. I will try to keep doing 4:3 or 5:2 fasting with a 16:8 IF on my eating days. On weeks with 4:3 fasting, I may start eating 400 - 500 fat/protein calories per day on fasting days. On weeks with only 2 fasting days, I will probably stick to coffee alone. The experiment continues. It will be a challenge to keep to the plan next week and the following week when I'm in the mountains running elk hunting camps. I'll be cooking some really good food for the camp and won't have a lot to do besides hiking and reading. So, I'll have to be on my best behavior to avoid boredom munching. Hope all y'all have a great day.

IF is awesome. Humans have evolved for 'feast or famine', and it sounds like you've got them both down. 5800 calories in a day is inconceivable to me, but if you can do it, that's feasting! Running an elk camp sound really interesting!
