Ok. Here I am again, scales back up. Went to doctor on Friday. I was frustrated after several days of basically a liquid diet and no weight loss. I had originally planned to wait until after first of the year and give Bootcamp 3 solid months.

He wants to try a month on medication, but I just don't know if that is the approach I want either. I brought in my food log to the appointment (even had bad foods listed), workouts, and the fact that no loss has him puzzled too. Calories have been 980-1300 on the high end. Limited on carbs, still maybe a bit high in sugar intake, but all in all should have still seen a slow progressive loss, especially with the workouts for the past 7 weeks. He thinks maybe a month on the medication (which is does not prescribe easily) might be what I need to get my metabolism jumpstarted again. He said he has women coming in all the time and the first thing they request is the meds. They still only work with right eating and exercise so he makes them do that first. He knew when he mentioned it I was going to be opposed because I have been since day one, but I am also obese at age 37. My BMI is 33. All my lab work is awesome, great cholesterol, no risk of diabetes, etc. but he also knows that at a 33 BMI, I am just knocking on the door of that happening down the road, which I do not want.

So here I am, up 2 pounds from last week and contiplating taking Phentermine. I bought the prescription Friday but haven't taken it yet. Still torn. I just fear could the medications cause unwanted damage down the line also? Will sleep on it one more night and make the decision in the morning. I know people that have taken it and it did help, they took it only 2 months, which right now, my doctor wants to try a month then evaluate things. He hopes that will possibly be all needed and then my body will start doing its own thing!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Enjoy time with your family and avoid overstuffing yourself on foods.
