Great day here too. Have decided not to do anything in the house but go outside and rake the leaves. Exercise, fresh air, sunshine.. what else do I need :-)))

Maybe you got your inside work done, so you can enjoy the beautiful day.

Is anyone truely Ever ready? Kudos to those who are, me...I always forget something, or feel I could have done something better, differently. At least you have what I consider the hard part done...the darn shopping!

Jozette - I did go out and play with the dogs. Got the doors and windows open. Last Friday I wore my winter coat. This is crazy weather.

Notfast - somethings just aren't going to get done. My kitchen and bathrooms will be spotless So what office doesn't get cleaned?

Good for you! Can't always do what we have to do. Do what we want to do is sooooo good for the soul. I raked for two hours, almost. Had a nice chat with one of my neighbors in between :-). Did 1/3 of the yard, hoping that my neighbor will be inspired and do the rest tomorrow or so (not that I count on it). He is such a great guy, dug me out in the winter, mowed my lawn whenever he was mowing his (he has a ride on, I push)and two weeks ago, when I came home I noticed he went over the lawn and all the leaves were gone. Definitely need to get him a treat for Thanksgiving!

Jozette, he needs a BIG treat for doing all that!!! Good neighbors like that are a real prize!

Buffy, you're WAY ahead of me if your bathrooms and kitchen are spotless. How 2 adults and 2 dogs can create such a shambles in a house is beyond me! Ah well, I'll just do what I can. We both need to just do our best but relax and enjoy the other aspects of this holiday, right? People remember the camaraderie of the holidays, not how clean the house was (repeat, take a breath, repeat...).

Well, I did the grocery shop this afternoon and the store was packed I forgot it is Thanksgiving this week I wondered why everyone was there it is normally a good time to go. I am now cooking dinner and already did some laundry this morning. My daughter and her hubby are doing their first thanksgiving dinner this year she did give me a list of stuff she wants, I don't know what Americans cook for dinner, so I will make a Trifle and some shortbread cookies, not low carb that is for sure. But I may have a little Trifle, I do love that. But I do have to get my house cleaned for Christmas as I do have visitors. Our neighbors are great clearing the snow for us they have a blower, I give them the occasional bottle of Bicardi to say thank you....we are very grateful.

GG - That reminds me of one year during clean up a casserole was discovered in the microwave. Must be we didn't really need it because no one missed it.

Sandy - thanks, I needed that.

Yvonne - I have discovered that Thanksgiving food is whatever anyone likes - and if you like Trifle and Shortbread Cookies then that is proper Thanksgiving food. One year my Sister had lobster!
