Well, you know the saying, "The buck stops here!"

The cycle of addiction and domestic abuse stops here. My grandkids are not going to grow up victimized by this nonsense.

I am amazed at how much better I feel right now. By taking care of myself, I have the energy and peace of mind needed to really help out my older daughter, who is down with severe back pain. I can go over there with the state of mind that I am helping, not rescuing.

I got a message from my physician asking how the supplements were going. I replied that I was shocked at how much better I feel. I wasn't expecting results so soon. It is crazy how much of our mental and emotional health is tied to nutrition.

Magnesium 750 mg to start to help with sleep and constipation. Cod liver oil to reach EPA 1000 mg to treat a chronic medical condition which I choose to remain private. Then added Vitamin D 50,000 unit per week due to severely low Vitamin D level verified by blood test. Recently added Evening Primrose oil 1,300 mg I think to balance the Omega 3 and reduce inflammation - I had a high CRP, which was indicative of high risk for cardiovascular event. And for the Pyrrole Disorder, B6 50 mg and Zinc Picolinate 50 mg. Will start P5P 50 mg per day when it arrives. B6 can cause permanent peripheral nerve damage, so should be taken cautiously with medical supervision.

Isn't it lovely when we make that amazing switch from rescuing to helping. To knowing that we can comfort, support and console instead of believing that the other's very survival rests in our hands alone. It's a big deal - and a little like adopting healthy eating habits or quitting smoking - in that it is a daily practice. There is always a temptation to fall back into old ways of thinking - even though they didn't work. Congratulations on achieving this insight, and kudos for your courage in sharing it. Keep on, keepin' on sistah.

Yup. I went over there, set my timer for an hour and cleaned. When the timer went off, I wrapped it up. Then I helped arrange some furniture and took out the trash. There were post it note reminders my daughter had put up in the kitchen that showed me she is still running her household, she just needs help right now.
