First few weeks you'll lose faster. Don't lose heart. Remember, healthy living is its own reward.

Dees... the number one killer of diets and health resolutions is unrealistic expectations. When we set unreachable goals and then fail to reach them - we usually then just give up and go back to our old ways with a vengeance. If you're like me and have "been there done that" way too many times, then the only way is to set long term, attainable and SUSTAINABLE goals. If you reach them quicker than you anticipated Hurray!!! If you're slower than planned but still moving in the right direction which even includes just maintaining without gaining weight, you're still on your way to the goal. I've been at the same weight now for a couple of weeks but I'm not at all stressed. I'm doing the right things. I feel great. My appetite is under good control. All I need to do is tweak things a bit or wait it out and things will break loose again. I can't tell you how amazing it feels to be able to say that and more importantly THINK THAT WAY!!! Good luck!

Slow and steady is the better way to go! Remember, you didn't put all the weight on at one time, and you won't take it all off at one time. (Though we all are still hoping someone will eventually discover that magic pill! Lol)

Hun 4 pounds a week is excellent. Average weight loss is 1-3 pounds a week. It's not healthy to lose more than that a week.

Thank you all for your comments advice and support. I have not been exercising just watching what I eat and trying to stay under 1200 calories. I was disappointed because this week I only lost .7 lbs I'm going to try and start some exercises I just need to make that step forward. I hate to exercise. I have done it before and it's painful I know no pain no gain. Just shedding the few pounds I have I feel better and know what I have to do. I'm so glad to lose anything and not gain

Hi Dee!! Give yourself a break; you've done well. The scale is just a number that doesn't measure everything. I'm sure you know this. Just relax and don't put so much trust in the scale. It goes up and down just like our emotions; don't give it so much power over your mood!! Keep moving forward the compound effect of eating well and exercise will have a higher impact than a number on the scale today!! You're doing great!! Hang in there!! Chin up!!

Any loss is a good loss! A .7 pound loss is almost equivalent to 3 sticks of butter!! Just think of that...3 sticks of butter are now off your body!
