Don't add that "flavor packet" and you will spare yourself the over the top amount of sodium. You would be better off adding your own spices with a pinch of pepper and salt.

That's such a good idea, @Engeland! I have had some of these in the cupboard forever, and I just never eat them because of the problems with them. That's a great idea! I even have a bottle of sodium free Mrs. Dash.

You are welcome. There was a time I ate these noodles and I wasn't crazy about the amount of salt and the taste of the fake flavor, so I got creative and started ditching those packets. Just have to think out of the box when trying to make these foods a bit more healthier.

Without that flavor packet the sodium drops to probably nothing or zero.

Hey there Kpwcalories. Don't throw them away. You can work with them. Use that Mrs. Dash and maybe some pepper and there you go....... easy peasy. I used to sprinkle some hot sauce on them or some crushed red pepper with a pinch of salt.

I actually crunch them up and add to a salad. They get a "little" soft from the dressing. Yum....

Ooh, I bought a bottle of hot sauce but never know what to put it on. Must try that!
