skwhite's Journal, 24 July 2016

Last night we worked out in the orchard and garden and picked the first of stuff from the garden and a bunch of peaches that were ready. Since we were working out there and I wasn't getting my strength training in I had the box on my head holding it so I started lifting it up and down, of course the more peaches put in the heavier the box. Surprising today I am not as sore as I thought I would be. Today I dealt with all the produce. Normally I can it, but it is way to hot to be canning so I spent 4 hours cutting it all up and freezing it. Yes I made a pie and yes I ate a slice, most likely the only slice, but I don't feel too bad about it since I made it with fresh peaches. It was good. =)

Tomorrow starts our VBS at our church and I am in charge so it will be a busy week and a hot one supposed to be triple digits all week. =(

Here's to a great week friends!!!

Good luck on your busy week! I pray that the children and their families have open hearts and minds to recieve Gods word. Also I prefer freezing as the nutrients are supposed to be better retained. But peaches in cobbler is so delicious
