Had `free’ personal training session at gym on Thur and my thighs are still hurting. Was only about 15 mins of actual working out with free weights and the rest was 40 minutes of fairly loud, aggressive sales pitch. But I learned that what I’ve been doing with the machines isn’t enough of a challenge to get new muscle growth. Also found out that my body needs new challenges (read workout routines) every 2-3 weeks to avoid plateaus. Meeting w/ trainer taught me that there is a lot that I don’t know. Got some books on weight training Friday and have been pouring over them. Am hoping that was not time wasted after all.
