This is going to be a ramble, so if you're not interested, scroll on by.
The weight drop is beginning to show. I can see it mostly in my upper body and face. Other people are noticing a difference too, but not what you'd expect. I had several people last week tell me how good my new hairstyle looks..only it's the same style I've worn for over a year! There's just less face and fewer chins under it! HAHAHA!
I'm feeling the loss most in my legs. Thighs are definitely shrinking, and I noticed walking today, the rubbing together is much less frictional. Need to work on toning them up now!
Oddly, the people who *are* noticing the drop in my weight are telling me they can see it mostly in my back. I never paid much attention to it, except in a bathing suit which made the 'back boobs' bulge. I still have a little it of a roll on each side, but they are fading, too.
I've always been pretty straight up and down. Even when I was slim, there was less than an inch difference between waist and hip measurements. I still have plenty of belly to burn, and it's hard to get an accurate read on the hip measurement because the "apron" hangs down into the hip measuring area. But, I know it's shrinking..2.5 inches off my waist is a win!
One of the girls at work had a birthday today, and the sweet owner of the nail salon next door bought a huge box of Jersey Mike's subs for us to celebrate. I LOVE Jersey Mike's bread!!!
It didn't take any willpower at all for me to open the sandwich up, slather it in mayo and vinegar/oil, roll up the veggies in the meat and cheese, and enjoy every bite. And then throw the bread in the trash. It felt good to know that poison would not be entering my body. (In case you didn't know, wheat products give me heart palpitations BAD)
On another note, I don't know if the Taco Bell incident is to blame, or the fact that I might have overdone the salt yesterday, but my weight was up 1.5 lbs this morning. Probably water, but still not the right direction.
Since I'm still doing the Beast Challenge, and I had the Jersey Mike's for lunch, I'm saving the snow crab and artichoke I bought for tomorrow. How can anyone feel deprived when you can dip those luscious lovelies in gobs of drawn garlic butter??? Happy weekend, all.

The scale is the part of the picture only you can see. How wonderful to be getting so many affirmations from the people around you. What a gift to toss out that bread without question or regret. You got this. You KNOW you got this!

Nice job! I always chunk the bread, tortillas, pizza crust, whatever and don't feel even one twinge of guilt for it!

Thanks, y'all! I really appreciate your support! Big yes on the water, Wanna... I'm well into my 4th liter bottle, and the night is young! ;) I felt that hug, Knuckles....thank you! You are so right, Lady. WE got this! Phil, I did offer the bread to others, but nobody wanted it, so I didn't feel bad about pitching it. One of the girls is morbidly obese, and when she saw how I was eating, she sounded almost in tears when she said, "You're so strong." I hope my journey will inspire her to follow my lead.

Once in a while I have a serious inquiry from an overweight friend. They are often the ones to notice my shrinking. I sent her here: hope she shows up!

We'll see what happens, Erica and Phil. I think she's given up on herself. I have told her about what and how I eat, and she just shakes her head and says, "Oh, no no no no...I could never give up_______ " Fill in the blank. And it's always the processed, packaged,sugar-laden crap that fills in the blank. Still, there's always hope. :)

Your ramble was enjoyable. I get the palpitation from wheat too. It started after the menopause started. Shrinking is good. :)
