8hunter6's Journal, 20 June 2016

Well hello everyone! this morning I got up, showered, hair done (meaning not a birds nest), toddler up and fed, went for a bike ride with the oldest, cleaned the house, little man is down for a nap, did an hour of yoga to help my back ... fell asleep on my bolster ..... dinner is gonna be baked chicken and bakes broccoli. .. possibly with cabbage... and when it cools off a again later I plan on either another bike ride or a walk.. not sure yet.... feeling pretty good... pain in my back is better than it has been... haven't even taken a tylenol today :D .... just been doing some yoga and drinking more water and convincing myself that it's healing on its own......

hope everyone is having a good and productive day :)

VERY happy you are in reduced pain mode. Even if it is temporary. HOPING its permanent. Just smile and live like it never hurts. :)

I went for TWO bike rides, the yoga, AND AND a walk. . . this misfit fitbit thingy is cool ... shows me that my sister is always racking up points and makes me wanna compete so I kept doing things lol. .... reduced pain is very nice, I hope it stays like this but I'm feeling a tad sore from going over board today lol. but this is a good sore. .... THERE WAS DUCKS!!! but they were normal happy ducks, mallards and canadian geese.. not mutant scary ducks lol.

How EXCITING!! I can't WAIT until I get cleared to ride my special Terra Tryke recumbent bike...specially made for peeps with back issues...and yoga is one of the best things to strengthen the back muscles...you are doing SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!! I am SOOOOOOOOO happy for you!! We are still waiting on the genetic testing...go in on July 1st for the results...AND waiting on the Interventional Radiologist from Miami to call to schedule the CT-Guided spinal tap/fluid removal from my spinal canal... WAITING is the hardest part!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

oddly enough, the way my disks are herniated, being bend (sitting, biking) doesn't hurt me.... it's walking and standing straight that does... so doctors have told me to bike for exercise and keep walking to a minimum. . but that's not very realistic so I'm going to try and go for short walks anyway...... yoga is also stretching my angry muscles that are pulling too tight to try and protect my spine (that's how I have to say it so I don't get to frustrated with my body... just doing its job) ...... so weight lifting may be what I prefer to do... but this will get my strength up slowly until I am able........ recumbent bike? I hear those are lots of fun! I helped an old coworker pick one out a few years ago... her and her husband could ride those for hours. ......... ya I have to call the specialist today... I better remember today cause I forgot yesterday. hoping for an mri to see what's going on in there. I'm hoping it's a horrible muscle spasm and not what I really think it is..... praying my herniations are either the same or magically better than before lol....... thank you so much for the encouragement! !!!!
