wondering what is the difference between resting and sleeping or sitting?

Are you speaking about a rest day? It depends per person. My rest days I was 1-2 hours

I think the resting they speak of is laying about vegging... usually watching tv and your heart rate is slow. Your heart rate slows down even more than resting while you are asleep. Not sure about sitting. Maybe you burn more sitting because you're using muscles to hold yourself up and are more likely to fidget about? Lol just guessing here
