Ugh... I'm fatter than I've ever been. Clearly just "trying to eat healthy" and not counting calories isn't working. Back to recording 'em.
I can't believe I was at 250lbs 6 months ago!

Try to ween yourself off of some of those added sugar items in your diet. Frosted flakes are yum yum, but deadly. When I used to have those types of cereals, I would add only water instead of milk, in no time you couldn't tell the difference. But still i realized I had to back away from cereals altogether.

"Trying to eat healthy" didn't work for me either. I spoke with my doctor and he said to set a daily calorie limit (for your body- mine is 1600) and a per meal carb limit (45-50). I look at my history on here and see when I started doing that and it has helped so much. Much love and good thoughts to you!

I think logging makes you eat less just because you do have to take the time to log it. Really - it's almost funny when I'm thinking I want to have something and then realize I'll have to log it so decide not to eat after all.

I can ignore all the signs of gain, not "seeing" me in the mirror, thinking the dryer must have shrunk my clothes, buying reassurance from people that I am just fine...thinking it is more about other things emotionally that I am not tending to that supports the bad eating and the ignorance of my truths. I am now working on being aware of the sneakier things and being accountable by recording rather than attitude it is not important.

For me accurately recording makes the difference between losing weight and not losing it.

I've accepted the fact that I'll never be able to "just eat clean" and "watch my portions". If I don't track it I don't lose it. Good luck!

I just returned here from a period of "just eating healthy" and I have to go back to losing mode! I feel your pain. Logging it all makes such a big difference.

Check out the HCG diet! I did a round 2 and1/2 years ago, lost the weight I wanted to loose and kept it off. Then I decided I wanted to loose even more. I started another round less than 30 days ago, and now I am the lightest I have ever been in my entire life! I am 49 years old and now weight 132 lbs. for the first time.Ever! I am thrilled.
The diet is strict, but you are not hungry, you loose weight very fast, do not loose muscle mass, and when done correctly, it resets your body, so that you don't regain. I have to warn you, it is controversial, but it worked for me and many people I know.
below is a link to one of many places where you can get information, and I am in no way involved in any website, product selling, or getting a benefit from it. Just someone who is very happy with the results, and wants to share. There are also many support groups on FB, and I belong to one of them, if you'd like more info, let me know. I'll be happy to forward.
