Hi guys! Today I did a 24 hour fast unplanned, I finished eating last night around 8:30, went to bed around 11 back up at sunrise and I had a lot of things to get done, so dumped my coffee into a travel mug and hit the streets. Since I was out and about, Hubby forgot to get out of bed :) We have been working on the fences this weekend and he was completely wiped out. I got home about an hour before I needed to be at work and I woke him up, he had about 10 things he needed to do before he went to work and was very annoyed that he had overslept. I told him I would take care of 4 of those things when I got home, I jumped in the shower got ready for work and took off. I still had the floors to finish cleaning in the camper so I did those as soon as I got in, went and fed the critters, they all were low on water so that took an extra half hour to fill all the troughs. Cleaned up and ran into town to do hubby's other 4 errands and got back home....at 8:30. I cooked Sunday afternoon and I had all the fresh stuff stocked, so I chopped me a salad while munching on cheese and olives..Mom, it's a great snack for cooking dinner :) So, without any planning on my part....I did another 24 hour fast this week! What really amazes me is the fact that I was running full tilt all day and I never even slowed down, never thought about food till I walked in the door and realized my eating window was closing...and I am still not tired!

Thanks Suzy and Cathy, one of the great things about my WOE is the endless energy I seem to have, it's amazing and even after almost two years I keep a steady stream of can do going. Never before on any other type of diet have I ever felt this good. You know how sometimes you wish you were still 20, sometimes I feel 20. While heading into town this evening, I had the top open on the car, stereo blasting and I was seat dancing the whole way, even played the air drums a bit :)

Thanks Glen and MC...Glen the first time I read about it, I could not imagine it either, actually I could, I imagined it was painful gut wrenching hunger, weakness, confusion......I was quite surprised to discover that I was hungry, not starving, clear minded, not confused and never had a feeling of weakness or tiredness. I started Low carb high fat waaay before I started fasting. So I understand, if you are already fat adjusted, fasting just kicks your fat-burning rockets into high gear, at least that is the way I understood it and it seems to be true for me :)
