What is the difference between a slow juicer and fast juicer. Is it centrifugal. I love fruit smoothie but I have read that they are too high in sugar and you should only have one a month as a treat. Do you know if juicing is better. 

A slow juicer or masticating juicer bascially crushes the produce forcing it through at auger basically a screw....the juice slowly but not that slowly out........was ejected out other side........why did i want one so much....... 1.The juice is better quality in that not so much separation into layers.... 2.Quieter and more.civilised to use 3. It ejected the waste via tube so less plastic to clean. 4. Better for juicing greens.....kale etc which is the main one. 5. Because the juice is cold pressed retains more vitamins enzymes etc in produce.....im not so sure about this one as the fast juicers hardly heat up the produce as juicing so quick. 6. Downside produce has to be cut into smaller chunks and generally more expensive though with china not so much now mine was sixty five pounds. Fast juicing.....yes centrifugal.......juice whole apples in a tick......make a right mess some of them....it essentially finely grates the produce......and spins juice out to the walls........not so quiet.... Which ever one they all to the same thing I have just had a fast juicer for a while now and fancied a change..... My advice is to buy a simple one.......thats easy to clean! Friend bought a big black braun one......was not impressed the waste went everywhere other than in the collecting bin at rear.....and loads of big bits of plastic to clean.
