I think it's when you have a night once a week or so eating HIGH carbs, the rest of the time low. I haven't tried this per se BUT I do know when I eat lots of carbs I feel bloaty and cravings come back horribly. Then I have to hunker down and hang on by my fingernails to get back to NOT feeling that way. So not worth it to me. Still I do it sometimes, obviously I am HARD HEADED!

mine has been the same since December. Inches continued. I added 2 tbs of apple cider vinegar after watching Dr. Jung's obesity videos on youtube. I am finally moving again. Down 1 pound this morning.

Carb cycling is a TRAP. I have seen it happen before. They tell you carb cycling is helpful. Well it is ANYTHING BUT helpful. I do NOT recommend it. TKD MAY be helpful for weight lifters. But I wouldn't mess with it. I have seen too many people screw up their progress by carb loading even a SINGLE DAY.

I don't carb cycle, but i do allow myself a single cheat meal once a week to keep my sanity. It may be carb heavy or it may be fat heavy, it just depends, but it's keeping on track for the longest time in the past 15 years. I'm almost 6 months in, and although i'm a very slow loser, i don't consider this dieting. As i go on, i'm less and less seduced by the allure of sugar/carbs and with the exception of my dark chocolate chips (all 16 of them on a bad day), it keeps me on track.

@KTMM I think Cycling/CKD etc. works better the leaner you are. Over 15%; probably a trap. Over 20%; delusion. My leanest last year was 13%-14%. At that point, if I did it properly, I would actually visibly lean out when I carbed up.
