Tonight when I got home, I was actually starving for a change, I had a mental picture of a big juicy hamburger patty. I didn't have anything thawed so I grabbed some bubba burgers out of the freezer and tossed them on the grill, sliced an avacado on top of two of them and then wrapped them in lettuce. Ahhhhh my tummy is so happy right now. I was going to just have one, but after finishing it, I was still hungry. I am listening to my body when it tells me it's not hungry so I did the same this time and kept feeding it when it said "still hungry" ate the second one. The lion inside is purring like a kitten now. I think if someone produced a double fudge frosted cake.......I would have to pass.

On another note, I posted in a buddy's comments about my hubby. He stepped on the scale this evening just for sh**ts and giggles and dumbfounded himself by being down 17 pounds, I thought he said 15 but he corrected me a few minutes ago. He can get into his old size 32 jeans and his 36's are falling off of him. This came from just quitting bread and potatoes. Wow! I wish he could have been that successful at quitting smoking...but we take what we can get. You guys have a great night!

This woke up the lion in me, and I am now thinking that it will be burgers and avocados for dinner tomorrow. Congrats to your husband for the weight loss!

Burger and avocado sounds great! One of my favorites is avocado and egg.

Thanks for the mention of the Bubba Burgers. There are some nights I'd really like a patty but haven't defrosted the ground beast, etc etc. How do these do on inside grills like a Forman? And btw - congrats to hubby AND you as well. The fact that he gave up bread and spuds is great. Spouses are a work in progress. I know I was ;-)

You and your hubs are killing the weight loss!! He will quit smoking when he is ready. It kills me how quickly men lose the weight! Your burger sounded good to me. For brunch today Mother and I had scrambled egg topped with salsa and some guacamole. Boy was it good. That was my contribution to Cinco de Mayo. LOL!

Vickie I think Bubba Burgers were invented FOR the Forman grill, it's one of the best things to cook them on :) Thanks you guys for the support!

Becca my fat bombs are simply drinks that I make in my magic bullet blender, it depends on what I have on hand at the time. I only drink coffee in the mornings, so Bullet proof coffee is usually out by the time my eating window opens. I make up my favorite with 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream, 2 tbsp natural peanut butter, 2 tbsp coconut oil melted, 1 tbsp unsalted butter, 1 tsp vanilla extract and a squirt of stevia extract. I put 1/2 cup of water or almond milk if I have any to thin it out. It comes out to 732 calories which breaks down to 76 grams of fat, 7 grams of protein and around 5 carbs. If the dinner I have planned is mostly fresh veggies and protein, then I need the fat bomb to up my fat intake. I have issues drowning my meat with butter, mainly I simply don't like it on anything but a nice rare steak and we have not been able to afford decent steaks for the longest time. Sometimes I will put my coconut oil and butter into a cup of green tea, sometimes I replace the peanut butter with Hershey's special dark chocolate coca powder. Fat bombs are simply concoctions of high fat, moderate protein and lowest carb foods combined in a manner to make them palatable and portable as they are used for fat calorie fillers and hunger chasing snacks. Keto blog.com has lots of sweet and savory fatbomb recipes to try.
