Everyone's body responds differently. Recently I had to add more carb content than I have ever had to my diet due to a bug of some sort which gave me gastric issues for 9 days straight.It had to come in the form of non leafy carb and adding bread and other forms of starchy carb in moderation. I struggled with the aspect of adding carbs as for the past 5 months I have been focused on 20g or slightly higher carbs. Pre programmed on LCHF to only have 5% carbs I lost a good amount weight and it worked but mentally I was still programmed to FEAR the carb. Last week I had an amazing revelation that the carb is not always the enemy in my diet. It is the fear of eating and being too rigid that was the enemy. Don't underestimate your body to work well with you if you have a well formatted and caloric conscious diet. I found I cannot starve myself into thinking the the weight will come off I need to feed it so my metabolism is active. Everyday is different. Some days I have more some days I have less but my stalls were due to fearing the carb , low caloric intake, and not knowing my potential when I work it. I have graduated lesson learned 101. Mentally I have to not let Fear dictate my health.
