"If I quit now I will soon be back to where I started. And when I started I was desperate to get where I am now."

I need to keep that quote up there for a while.

The meeting with the financial planner went okay. I don't like talking about finances with strangers...okay, to be honest I don't like talking about money, or religion, or politics, or any number of subjects. I guess I was raised that way. Although it was stressful, I didn't eat my stress. I ate a healthy lunch before I went and made sure I drank lots of water. And I survived! And the good news is GoodMan should be able to retire after the winter semester in 2018 and we can live relatively comfortably...whew!

After our meeting we met DIL#6 at the grocery store and did our HUGE grocery shopping. We combined DS#6's 10% team member discount, his 20% bonus discount, my 10% discount reward, along with the store's specials for a HUGE savings on our combined bill. GoodMan and I left with 4 carts worth of frozen foods, meats, pantry staples, paper products, cleaning supplies, and health and beauty products. I should only need to shop for fresh fruits and veggies and dairy products for the next couple of months. After all that shopping I was ravenous! But I had planned ahead and had a small cooler with veggies and hummus along with cheese sticks and hard boiled eggs for the hour ride home.

This weekend we will have a group from the university over to our house. We do a lot of hosting/entertaining. This is why we need so much stuff at the grocery store! This group usually brings between 15 and 20 students to swim in the pool and have s'mores around the campfire. S'mores don't tempt me, but the pizza or subs we usually have for them can be a challenge so I will make sure to plan ahead so I can be successful.

Soon I should be able to get along without my goals written out daily...but for TODAY I feel like they will be beneficial so I will write them out again.

Today I will eat healthy foods in a healthy quantity to fuel my body.
Today I will workout on the elliptical for 20 minutes.
Today I will record my foods and exercise.
Today I will listen to uplifting Christian music.
Today I will find places to put all the groceries I bought yesterday.
Today I will call the church to volunteer to make a dish for the funeral on Saturday.
Today I will call the surgeon's office AGAIN to try to schedule the colonoscopy (do they not realize I would prefer to avoid that procedure?...why are they making this so difficult?!)
Today I will make a point to give GoodMan hugs and kisses and comment on things I appreciate about him because I know that is his love language.
