FreeSpirit72's Journal, 17 April 2016

Through a lot of adversity of the last couple of years I have dealt with having a Spinal Injury and unrepairable shoulder damage I still managed to get my weight back down almost to my post college graduation weight. Let me tell you being in a wheelchair and having limited mobility is a major challenge in of itself but to also drop over 50lbs in two years through diet and what I was able to do the weight did come off! When I landed in a power chair just over 4 years ago I thought that the weight would just keep coming but I put myself into a different mindset!!! THINK THIN, BE THIN STAY THIN became that mindset and it happened! No I'm not happy it took so long and yeah I jumped up at one time to nearly 200 for a time but I put my foot down and said this ends now.
First thing to go was the soda pops & breads. Next the fast food places and tried to ration the overall amount of calories since I'm in a chair and not real active there was not that need for a 2000 Calorie Diet so I dropped it to 1200 a day then 800 per day (which is where I'm at today) and real quick I seen a major change.
If I can do it then ANYBODY can do it and doesn't have an excuse. It is kinda like an alcoholic taking that first drink after a long time of sobriety to a point (been there and put the plug in the jug) Sorry to be so blunt here but just being honest!!!
143.0 lb Lost so far: 7.0 lb.    Still to go: 3.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
losing 0.2 lb a week

Thank you both VERY MUCH!!! I do follow Deepak some as well just don't get the time to listen his daily stuff. I hope maybe later in the day to get an updated pic up.

Excellent loss there! I hope your physical problems get better. I have prostate cancer and a bad left knee. Best of luck to you!

Fantastic - proves that weight loss starts in the kitchen...it is about food choices.
