Holy Guacamole! I did not know that damn taco salad had so many net carbs! If its from the tortilla shell....then I could subtract something out perhaps. I ate maybe half of the shell.

Shivering off the carbs and calories now...its -3F outside. 40Mph winds. Lovely day, up here. MmmHmmm.

Dear Annie I'm having another problem I have been diabetic for about 12 to 13 years recently maybe around the time that I hit 210 pounds I started getting low blood sugars and so I had to go 2a unorthodox system in which I try to eat enough carbs to keep my blood sugar in the 70s I had a couple of numbers that fell in the fifties which is way too low so when you're looking at the last month or so it doesn't tell the whole story I'm combating another problem

Oh dear! I did not know that BBear! That would definitely make things difficult. It seems that your weight loss is really on the move now, so whatever your unconventional method is....its working! =) I am so encouraged by your creativity and will to make this happen! Thank you for your comments it really means a lot and if anyone gets anything out of it that's all the better I don't want my weight loss the only be A Plus for only me I would like it to help anyone on this site you can use any of the information

Enjoy your shiver, -3F is cold. It's my understanding that shivering burns calories. It's 28F here and that's way to cold for me...

Taco salad is ok if you ditch the tortilla shell and any beans or rice that come with it. The rest should be taco meat, which can be problematic depending on how it's made, vegetables and cheese, none of which should have enough carbs to spike your blood sugar. Back to the taco meat; if it's just seasoning it'll be ok, but if the seasoning they use has any kind of thickener, i.e., flour, that counts against your carb total.

I had the grilled chicken on the salad. The beans and rice were almost non-existent. It was mostly a pile of lettuce, SC, and chicken, set on top of a broken shell. (Our Taco Bell is a little on the shoddy side.) -19F this am. That is the end of the really cold stuff for us- at least for awhile. Now I'll have to find a new way to burn calories, other than shivering. =) No sugary crap this weekend. Did eat half of a small baked potato with today's chicken dinner. Hubby took all of us out to lunch today- so I doubled up on the lettuce salad at the salad bar, and skipped dessert. Nursing a very bad headache, and cleaning house for the rest of the day.
