Addie Aline's Journal, 12 February 2016

I got my lab results late yesterday and everything was good, so I feel better about eating a LCHF diet. I was a little worried about eating so many eggs and meat and fats now I'll continue and know I can make it a way of life. And when someone tells me how bad it is I can respond that I fell good and my physical and labs were good. I wish the good labs meant my fibromyalgia and arthritis and asthma and allergies were gone to but I had all of them before changing my way of eating.

Now I need to learn to control my stress and loose this extra weight. And I'm working on the weight one day at a time. I wish it would go off faster but I'll take it slow as long as it continues to drop and if I'm patient it

I will eat my WOE one day at a time because I want it and I need it and I can do it. I will exercise as often as my body will let me. This is my quest.

Everyone have a good weekend.

Addie leaving off grains will help with a lot of your issues, I am thinking. Also, if you can walk everyday or use an elliptical machine or maybe swim someplace it might help keep you mobile. I had a friend that had rheumatoid arthritis and it killed her in the mornings, but we got out every day and walked or jogged. She was told moving more helped keep the disease from taking over her body. I imagine that would hold true for all of us that are retired ... just keep it moving. I need to follow my own advice. LOL!

As you continue your LCHF diet, your allergies and asthma may improve. Since I cut out grains and drastically reduced dairy, my own allergies and asthma are much more controlled - only using my rescue inhaler once every few weeks instead of every day, and I can actually leave the house without stuffing my pockets/purse with Kleenex for the first time in over 20 years!

Yes, once i got off grains (wheat) and most dairy, the aches and pains soon disappeared. Just a thought...

HCB, I had the same experience of being pain free after cutting out wheat products (and sugar) so there's got to be something to it.

I have cut all grains out and at the moment dairy except butter so I'll see what time does. @Mom yes the aches are some better when I walk more but some days I just can't. All and all I'm a work in progress. Thanks for the imput.
