Starting on a no wheat diet, on my third day, so far so good, I need to find no wheat meal plans!
134.0 lb Lost so far: 26.0 lb.    Still to go: 19.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Wouldn't that be low carb or Atkins? Be careful of gluten free products. It's all rice which equals sugar in the blood stream.

hi I have just started doing the same thing, this is my third week with not eating bread, Its pretty good so far. Theres lot's of support here and great recipes for low carb

I think the Atkins is way more strict then the no wheat diet, thanks for the heads up, I'm trying to make my own foods from scratch and see how that goes!

its not easy for me , i love rice and potatoes lol, but im getting used to not having them anymore, its just at the moment im doing a challenge fast, just eating cream cheese and sardines for three days lol :/

It's not easy for me either, I love potato chips i'm a fiend with them, this diet says I could have brown rice just not everyday! that sounds intense and kind of gross lol

If you don't already know, wheat is hidden in a lot of processed foods. White flour is just bleached wheat, so if you bake, use coconut flour instead. There's even wheat in soy sauce! ^^ The Paleo Diet is basically an anti-wheat diet. It's all about all natural mother-earth unprocessed foods.

Look at my diet. I'm doing great with pinto beans, rice and quinoa. All of these are low glycemic index. I also eat a lot of oatmeal. Avoid chips soda and pretzels; all the good stuff.

I just ate 7 large eggs fried sunny side up in 2 tablespoons of Kerrygold butter. I like my yolk still liquid as to preserve the choline, brain food. Yummy dinner and loaded with protein and HDL generating saturated fat. #nutritionalketosis

Thanks for the info on the Paleo diet, would it also work on vegetarians too?

Paleo would be hard not eating meat. I'm a pescetarian. Eat fish but very little eggs and dairy and i dont eat red meat or poultry. Paleo doesn't allow legumes so meeting protein requirements would be challenging without meat. I'm gonna try giving up bread next week for the week and see what happens. I could live off of rice and potatoes and beans lol!

I'm pescatarian and vegetarian too, I eat very little eggs too mostly on the weekends if anything, ya, I don't think I could do the paleo diet since I need beans in my life, my favorite are black beans! I thought I didn't consume that much bread in my diet but apparently I do! I've lost 4 pounds so far and it's been a week since I started so I think I may keep it for as long as it takes. and I have also been eating pizza which is my favorite but replaced it with quinoa or tapioca crust and it's been pretty good! Also, I might do chocolate chip cookies made with almond meal, so I'm kinda excited about how they might come out :)

That's awesome! I need to explore some alternative crusts. I eat too much bread. It's just so convenient. But I bought a loaf a few days ago so I have to finish it. It would be nice even to cut down where I only have it a couple times a week for when I do veggie burgers since I love my veggie burgers. Lol!

The reason why I found alternative crust was because I just don't think I could ever give up pizza, so I just had too lol! Bread could get pretty expensive I wouldn't just throw it out not like me!lol I kinda feel bad for throwing out my Ezekiel Bread before I started my diet, at least ducks were able to enjoy it though, it wasn't a full loaf I ate most of it. I've been substituting the bread for my veggie burgers with lettuce, it's been pretty tasty so far!

Check out a website for "Julian Bakery" - I buy Paleo Wraps because I also am carb conscious...but they have many wheat free and gluten free products
