Its been a crazy two days for us here. Wed we were car shopping for/with kid. That took us all day then my dad's brother passed yesterday (we weren't close) so I missed work and went to my dads to be with him for the day bc my uncle is/was in Minnesota and I dont think Dad can go. BUT, i did not stray from my diet at all, even though I didn't log it , I still feel pretty darn strong .. And I even woke up and went to gym before work today ..

Sorry to hear about the loss. The death of a family member can either make you stronger and more determined, or push you to the comfort foods and extra weight gain. Stay strong, *hugs*

Glad you are in control of your emotions so you avoid the emotional eating trap. Blessings to you and your family.

Good to see that even when life throws a curveball, you've got control of the food situation and are keeping with the great habits you've made over the past year - like exercising. Though I didn't peg you as an overeater in sad situations (more like the celebrations instead). Still, how you deal with this can be applied to other events that life always presents.

Soon, you are so right, Im more of a "happy" eater than a "sad" eater..I was so full of adrenaline all day with my Dad and the car that I really didn't have time to eat, more like I had to remind my self to eat.. it was a nice "fast" and the scale is moving in the right direction. And I so wanted to go to the gym to just "burn" off all the stress.. Finally made the right choices LOL .. hope it sticks.I agree with what you say about applying what I learned to other events, which at times can be super challenging for me.. thank you every one for the ongoing support today and always
