Good morning, buddies!! It's been a busy first week back. My diet has been well controlled and I'm pumping myself up for my third trip to the gym this week.

I tried LCHF in the beginning of December and it just wasn't right for me so I've gone back to my original WOE, which is a better long term stick for me anyway. All things in moderation, trying to choose higher quality options when available and calorie counting. I have kept the bulletproof coffee though lol; It is my afternoon pick me up every day. I am trying to keep a strong eye on my macros, with the majority of my cal from fat followed by carb then protein.

I got an A (96%) on my neurological disorders exam Tuesday night. It was a tough one, the class average was only 81%, and anything below 78% is failing so some of these guys are off to a rough start. Wednesday I went to the gym, then to the hospital to get my weekend assignment and finally to donate some blood to the red cross. In the snack basket following donation they had all kinds of cookies and treats... I chose raisins. I was exhausted when I got home!! I didn't have any negative effects after the donation but in hind sight maybe a donation on a workout day wasn't the smoothest idea. We will see how my workout goes this morning :) Low blood oxygen is the number one stimulant for the body to produce more red blood cells, so if nothing else it will really beef my blood back up lol.

I think I've found a good home for my Dynamite, the kitten rescued from the middle of a busy highway in October. She's a bad, bad kitty and has taught me to appreciate the three good cats I have lol. A nice family, no other cats in the home, and two kiddos to play with. I have given her the opportunity to have a long happy life, I hope she does.

I have to work tonight and I have clinicals Saturday and Sunday (starting at 6am) so no rest for the wicked until next weekend. It feels like sleep is soooo far away.

Congrats again on your grades! Don't you just love seeing results for your hard work? Also - Nice to hear you found an eating plan that works for you. Everybody's situation is different so it only makes sense that our WOE should reflect that. BTW - you are a sweetie for rescuing Dynamite :)
