Of course you're not alone -- but I'm trying to push the fear/stress over it aside and instead just 'lean into it,' so to speak . . . recognize it for what it is -- a once a year celebration that is centered around a bounteous meal and allow myself the room to enjoy the offerings but 'less' of them than in years past.

@Northern🎸 Thursday is the U.S. Thanksgiving Day. You have already survived this annual day of temptations.

My only saving grace is that I go to my cousin's house for the Thanksgiving meal and I'll be out of town the following three days. So no leftovers for me! lol I don't really count what I'm eating as so much as I try not to go crazy with portions and don't do second helpings.

Enjoy! Lots of Turkey and veggies! Have one reasonable sized piece of dessert. Additionally, drink water from a large glass throughout and consider a mug of hot tea before and after dinner. You can do this!

Just watch the portion sizes and enjoy! Having too much stress about this isn't healthy.

All the above strategies look great. in addition: Thanksgiving is just one day. Take care of today's food today. Take care of Thursday's food Thursday.

Thanksgiving is about being thankful, and one of the things I'm thankful for is the new found knowledge of what chemicals and sugar does to the body. I am also thankful for the grass fed beef in my freezer, and the fresh organic veggies in my fridge. I am most of all thankful for my children who I want to teach healthy ways, and live as long as I can to enjoy life with them.
With that being said, we will have a healthy Thanksgiving dinner. As a treat, we will go to the cinemas and spend quality time. Good luck, everyone! :)
